The official presentation of ACM took place at the Museo Cortijo Miraflores, Marbella on 23 RD September 2004 and was attended by over 250 guests and press.
A variety of important cultural events have since been organised by ACM:

CONCERTS AND DINNERS

27 th NOVEMBER 2004 – CONCERT - Berlin Philharmonic String Octet.

Our first inaugural concert which took place at Hotel Puente Romano (Salon Andalucia). Attended by over 250 guests.
Concert with Trio Sakakuschev- Evgeny Sakakuschev, Caroline von Bismarck and Jose Bagaza

Romantic Piano Concert with Eva Lorenz from Vienna with candlelit dinner afterwards.

Two Piano Concerts with the famous Frank Bohme, one of which was titled “Fantasia Baetica”. when he took us through a musical journey through Andalucia with the compositions of Manuel de Falla and Albeniz.

An outstanding concert with the international prize winning young musicians, Sayako Kusaka, (Violin) Jose Gallardo (Piano) and Evgeny Sakakushev (Violoncello). followed by a romantic candlelit dinner.

Gala ACM Christmas Party. “A Viennese Evening” with a string quartet with Evgeny Sakakuschev of the Malaga Philharmonic Orchestra and Caroline von Bismarck.

First Anniversary Party at the Exchange Club.

ACM organised gourmet dinners at excellent restaurants each month, mostly with entertainment.

ACM also has a monthly cocktail the first Wednesday of each month which is held at Magna Café, Magna Marbella Golf, Neuva Andalucia.

CULTURAL TRIPS

JEREZ INTERNATIONAL FLAMENCO FESTIVAL – We attend this festival every year.

This festival brings together the best dancers, choreographers and musicians of flamenco.

We usually visit one of the bodegas and of course the world famous Royal Riding School for a performance or tour. We always manage to sample much fino, vino and good food.

FEZ SACRED MUSIC FESTIVAL – 5 day tour. A wonderful and moving experience, bringing together the most diverse musical gathering in the world. We visited the famous sites of Idris, Volubilis and Fez .

GRANADA INTERNATIONAL MUSIC AND DANCE FESTIVAL – One night stay. The Granada Festival is an outstanding international festival with impressive performances taking place in the heart of the Alhambra Palace . Wonderfully romantic.

WINE TASTING IN RONDA - One night stay. There are no fewer than ten impressive bodegas in the Ronda Valley . We have a wine specialist that gives an informative and enjoyable talk and winetasting and we usually visit at least two bodegas.

Patios in May, Cordoba , followed by a tour of the culture of “Jamon Iberico”

Trip to Rio Frio to see how “Caviar” is farmed.

Visits to the Picasso Museum in Malaga with private guide.

We also organised special trips to the Teatro Cervantes in Malaga to see many ballets, concerts and operas.

Organised a trip to the XI FESTIVAL DE CUIDAD DE FUENGIROLA - We saw an outstanding performance of a flamenco “Carmen” performed by Aida Gomez and her dance company.

Organised a trip to Malaga to see the Buenos Aires Tango.

International Festival of the Cuevas de Nerja to see two performances – Malaga Symphony Orchestra conducted by Aldo Ceccato Antonio Gades Dance Company.

We saw a special Concert “Homage to Mozart” with the Malaga Philaharmonic Orchestra in Fuengirola

Trip to Germany for the Wonfurt Music Festival which was outstanding both in beauty and quality of the performances.

Members also get invitations to special openings of art exhibitions, concerts and presentations.

Conference cycle was inaugurated by Inmaculada Ruiz Casanueva on “Andalucia and its Historic Heritage”.

“Malaga and its cultural infrastructure” by Pedro Pizarro from Malaga .
